Nothing especially interesting happening, but pic related did catch my attention. How much would you pay for secondhand AP plastic jewelry? I think this is the first time I've ever seen an AP necklace go for this much.

Update on Kumya Scalper debacle -
She's absolutely frothing at the mouth.
This is the second time she's decreased the size on the stains (multiple) on the headbow. I measured the largest one across and it's 1cm. At one point she told me its only .5 and now she's saying its .2
Despite her saying no flaws, shes saying the flaws are CLEARLY THERE despite me not being able to see them as the headband of the bow is mostly obscured. (And the waist ties are folded so you cant see the ends where the fading is)
And I have no idea how I froze her account, I am not paypal. I told her twice to contact paypal support instead of harassing me.

Here's the waist ties as well incase anyone is curious about that. The middle bear is the upper portion of on of the waist ties so you can see the comparison.
It's a lot more noticeable in real life, the bottom portions being similar to the golden brown prints on the yellow honey cake, instead of the darker brown ivory should have.
Again, these are all OBVIOUS flaws that the user should have noticed and disclosed.
No obvious flaws, my left foot.

It's not even about the size. I understand how someone could overlook some pale stain of a similar size on an old item, but this is very visible. It could be that the parcel was not packed carefully and the contents got humid, which triggered the rusting. A lot of older AP head bows are prone to it.

The thing is, she said its partially visible in the proof pics on her listing so thus, it is my fault. (from what I saw i thought it was part of the print on the headband as its the same dark brown)

I looked at the photos just now and yes, it was definitely there, so it's not a case of damage during shipping. It could have been a mistake, but then the seller should have just apologised and issued a refund. I am very sorry you have to deal with this. I hope this doesn't make the dress off-putting to you because of all the hassle you had to go through. In case it helps, I had success getting rid of rust stains on AP head bows in the past. I cut the stitches on the edges, removed the metal headband, treated the stains with a special rust remover and replaced the metal headband with a plastic one of the same size.

The seller is in the wrong but your situation does feel a bit like you brought some of it on yourself. You could have possibly had PayPal cover return shipping if it was under purchase protection (they would reimburse you if you uploaded a receipt if the purchase qualifies), or returned it and filed a PayPal claim to get the full value including shipping costs back up to at least what you originally paid. Seems like you made it more difficult than it needed to be fucking around with a psycho seller.

>> No.10596337

It depends, but in the case of PayPal's free return shipping stuff, you basically pay upfront for the shipping and ship it back and then they reimburse you if it qualifies or something. Idk maybe it changed. But even if that wasn't an option, you'd probably be easily able to have gotten PayPal to side with you and refund your full payment since shipping was included and the seller mislabeled the level of damage. They usually tend to side with the buyer, though secondhand frilly dresses can be more complicated.

Seems like a slippery slope for users to witch-hunt each other and cry "scalper!" if they found out they paid more than the seller did, especially since purchase history is public. Same. As someone who buys petite the actually useful thing is that the bodice is shorter than normal, the bust darts sit at the bust and I don't have to hold the dress an inch above my actual shoulders to have the waistline actually be at my waist.

It's things like that -- the shoulder-to-waist length actually fits, the inseam is not too long so I don't have to choose between high waist or hammerpants crotch, those are the reasons petite sizing exists.

Everybody else normal should just shop normal sizes.

As for tall and skinny anon, anytime someone is so special they're that far out of normal sizing range, there just don't be any mass produced clothes because there aren't enough buyers to support it. You're just in the same boat as the hamplanets unfortunately, just go with custom or tailoring.

Sucks, but that's the price of being so special that no one else is like you.

First of all buying from Sunny_rnot is sketchy, I avoid buying from Chinese sellers on LM.

If more aggressive gulls know you lurk/post a bit they'd likely double down on any vendetta or shit talking or whatever bc they know you're reading and can't respond (I mean you could but it's considered a bit cringe to defend yourself).

I don't share my lolita stuff at all om sm so I know I'm not really a target but it's kind of a worry of mine as someone who hates attention, good or bad. Doubt it'll ever happen but that's the version of "outing myself" I'm concerned about.

Agreed, gulls are always more likely to latch on to someone they think they'll get a rise out of. That's why someone who has posted to selfposty threads (like the draw thread or BST threads) will always get some kind of callout if they happen to get posted in a COF dump or something like that and, god forbid, anyone comments on the picture. I've seen it happen plenty of times.

On top of that I've definitely been able to identify the haul collages or sales of lolitas I follow before so the fact that I can ID others by posts that don't even have their face or coords in them makes me very self conscious about doing so myself.

In my experience buying from scalpers has always been great when it comes to everything but the price. I guess it’s cause they’re borderline full time sellers, so they’re good about safe packaging, shipping quickly and generally not flipping the fuck out if you ask questions etc. I’ve bought from nearly every known scalper on LM at one point or another and never had any issues, aside from a mercari seller trying to scam me by not including the kc, then saying that they lost it, only to see that they sold it separately for a hefty sum.

I'm not. If you coddle them they'll think it's actually good. Don't give them that inch, I've seen insane shit down this road. Related hobby, someone bought a badly made item because the seller pleaded pet emergency. To everyone else, it's obvious it's a pity sale and the buyer would throw the item out once she received it.

Few months later the seller made new equally shitty shit, and this time she actually said "since it sold for this much last time, I know it's worth this much".

Buyer's act of pity basically made this insane idiot go out and buy more craft supplies, give her an inflated ego, and then it crashed even harder trying to deal with just being shit at crafting. Don't encourage this shit. Person who looked at this and thought it was ok to sell already has a few screws loose.

LMAO the gullllllllll on her. I guess it does depend on how long ago the listing expired. I also do get annoyed when people expect a discount just because the listing expired. The sale isn't urgent, and I'll lower the price if I want to.

Newfag/poorfags don't even know what a scalper is. In fag logic anyone pricing more than they can afford = scalper, a fact which has been shown about 999 times in these threads.

I don't think that anon was asking for a discount. They just wanted to buy it at the price the listing expired at..

If you really want it, an extra $50 or so isn't that bad but it's just not a great way to sell your stuff as more buyers will pull out

Idc about newbies buying taobao, what's wrong with that? It's more sad to see them get ripped off or not understand the worth of items. I've had a few DM me asking if x dress/bag is worth x amount and my god they get it so wrong and I feel sorry for them, some even are disheartened when they think that lolita is always this expensive.
