I dunno, of course not everyone should think the way I do, but I see a lolita as a hobby/entertainment/extravagance and I kinda came to terms that there will be a loss of money here and there. Not everything I get is supposed to be either worn to death or sold with a profit, that goes for normie clothes too. I’m in hell. I sold two things but I mixed up the packages. Buyer 1 got his first and let me know something was wrong. I gave him options of a full refund and walk away (and keep wrong item) or me trying to get the packages back and get his correct item to him and the other item back to buyer 2. He chose package swap. I contacted buyer 2 who was into the package swap as well. Buyer 2 worked with me and I paid for the package to get sent back to me and I immediately sent it to buyer 1 but it’s stuck in the mailing system due to the storms even though I paid for priority mail. I honestly think people should price however they like without getting shit over it, if their price truly sucks, then no one will buy and they'll lower it. Honestly, I've found pricing high to be a really great way to get around cheapos hassling me to lower shipping costs, or allow payment plans. I've sold some of my prized dresses for well over 1k, and each time it's been an excellent transaction. This. People in this thread seem to have forgotten about basic economics. Rn it’s very much a sellers market for sweet. If I have a new milky planet, I only need one buyer to think my price is good. Any price that attracts loads of buyers is actually a huge inefficiency. I’ve got time, so I start high and slowly lower until somebody bites.

This is not the kind of market where there are lots of substitutes for goods, and if you sell a piece like that you may not ever be able to find it in new condition again. It’s not just AP. I bought three baby pieces of from Chinese secondhand and 2 were replicas. One was a cape, and I could tell immediately. It had the logo stitched in, but the material was WAY off. The other was the older cotton Christmas jsk. The only reason why I could tell is because I already own it in the white/pink color way and the print was enlarged on the replica. The fabric also wasn’t quite the same as the typical baby double gauze style cotton. Replicas are a huge problem out of China, and they’re not always designated as replicas by price or title. I think a lot of people, if given the choice between two dresses that they think are both cute, would choose to buy the one they know they can resell for at least 50-60% of its value versus the one they won’t be able to resell. As someone who buys a lot of black, 80% of CC's item photos just look like a solid black blob haphazardly falling off a hanger. At least WW can be bothered to properly display their items.

Also, since I tend to buy a lot of lesser known or impulse items from JP 2ndhand aside from just well-documented brands, being able to see items you aren't already familiar with properly is nice.
