will going to an anime convention get me a gf, friends, and a ticket out of sperg life?

>> No.10539200

Depends on if the con is a clique fest or not.

Stop asking, cons are never coming back

I've made a lot of friends from cons. But I'm also not a sperg so I don't know if that's a part of it either.

It can help you, no doubt about that
Before moving to another city I used to be somewhat an hikikomori and Anime Cons helped me make new friends and get a gf
Just try your best to keep the spaghetti in your pockets and not spill them
Although I will tell you that you shouldn't just rely solely on attending cons to get out of your sperg life

only if you actually cosplay

No.
>>10539221
Also no.

If you're a sperg, you'll be a sperg anywhere. At school, on the internet, at weeb cons. Everyone who is not a sperg will go with their group of friends. And fellow spergs will be too spergy to engage with you. You will roam around alone and have total control of your time and movement, which can be quite nice, but that's it. If you're cosplaying you will be stopped a few times for pictures and feel stupid the rest of the time.
Anyway, go and have fun but don't expect much.

focus on stopping being a sperg first
you don't even need to be good at it, the sperg bar is really high at cons

How to I lower my autism power level as cheap cosplayer ?

The sad thing is that if you can practice basic hygiene and not dress like a NEET slob you will have a decent chance at hitting it off at a con. You're already at a con so having an icebreaker conversation should be no problem.

Wearing a nerdy shirt has always been a great icebreaker.

you can't deny that cosplaying gives a much better chance of actually meeting people.

I met my husband at a con and we're still happily married so there's that

>> No.10539585

probably. it depends on who you meet or try to interact with. i'm considered fairly attractive and always get approached by guys who aren't in my league either physically or mentally. don't try to date girls who aren't on the same level as you.

My friend is a sperg and so am I. He met his gf by going to cons and events. They eventually broke up cause my friend kept talking about gaming and his gf was wanting more.

>yes there is a possibility for you to make a connection with someone at conventions
>it is up to you to make sure you don’t waste that opportunity

What parts of the con are actually good for that? Are there places to meet people?

It got me a girlfriend exactly three times.

YMMV

Your assumptions are all backwards. This will send you spiraling deeper and deeper into sperg life, and you will never escape. Run now while you can.

if someone is a sperg they may as well embrace it and try to make some sperg friends
