It could be some people not taking measurements correctly. But if that's your actual measurement, then yes it's big. Because you're underbust is supposed to be within a few inches similar to your waist, so for most people that would mean your waist is 30 inches. For people with larger bone structures who aren't fat, they'll be within about 5 inches. 30in waist is fine if you're around 6'

where did this sentiment come from? i don’t understand how your waist effects your height. most people have waists between 25” and 30”. /cgl/ is the first place I’ve seen act like sub 25” waists are normal for people 5’7 and under. my waist was never that small even when I was an 80 pound kid. maybe i just have shit genetics.

Because of how hormones dictate where fat reserves go on women. Hence why women's clothes have different measurements of the same size than men. I never said under 25 in is mandatory for 5'7. For a 5'7 woman to have a 30 in waist means that she also has extra fat everywhere else too. The reason why this matters is because stomach fat is an indicator of heart health. Most people your height and aren't fat have 27 in waists. Your body's measurements are proportional to your height.

My main tip, do not get ANY credit card with ANY annual fee. Barring that, if you're pre-approved for any cashback cards, get the cashback card. But if you have no credit you may not be able to get a cashback credit card until you've had a regular credit card for a while. You actually make money and build your credit if you have a cashback card that you pay in full every month.

>>10535865
Yeah it makes no sense. Maybe they are just so damn cheap they don't wanna pay $5-15 in interest and instead want to inconvenience sellers. Or they're retarded and scared to have a credit card (my bf used to be too scared to have a credit card, despite coming from a well off family, nobody took the 5 minutes to take him aside and explain credit to him...) So I have a higher credit score despite being retarded with my credit when I was like 22 and racking up such huge bills that I had to file chapter 7. Well, that should be how it is, but that's just now how it is in the US. It's good to use credit cards as often as possible here. And plenty of cards offer 1-2% cashback on all purchases so using a cc pays in more than one way.

It's best to pay off everything at once, but if you really want something, paying interest on a purchase like sugary carnival for a few months is still going to be way cheaper than paying $100+ more than retail to a scalper later this year.

A 30/65 band is standard for those brands and their 70 band tends to run a bit smaller. The Japanese brands also have smaller cup sizing - I usually wear a 30B/C (8B/C) in Western brands that go down to that size, but wear a 65C/D from Japanese brands. My ribcage is 27.5"/bust 31.5". I find the spacing on 28 bands a bit weird as sometimes they're marketed as "starter" bras for tweens who have teeny breast buds right by their nipple and no actual boob tissue, you have to find a brand that is targeted to adults for a decent 28 band bra.

Nah, I still care, but the market certainly feels oversaturated. There's multiple brands putting out chocolate releases now so it's more like choosing the best release of the year instead of snapping up anything chocolate you can find. I would love another chocolate jacquard again this year though.

For Melty Chocolate it might just be the age as well. It's a cotton dress, so by now a lot of the dresses being traded second/third/fourth hand have probably been worn and washed enough that they're mostly a little faded and don't look as good as they did ten years ago.

I think they did their best low waist cuts with the Mercator print, but even then I watched the low waist sell out excruciating slowly, and when they re-released it the low waist jsk was so unpopular it went on sale. From what I heard their main market are the Japanese and Chinese, ie-mainly short girls (which explains why Dolly Cat's low-waist cut ended up so weird-looking, it's trying to make a low-waisted jsk that short girls can wear).

(the two jsks on the right are both low-waisted. The lavender jsk in the middle is just-waist and the OP is high-waisted).

They probably put their best effort into Victorian Letter and Mercator, I don't think they really bothered trying too hard when it doesn't sell as well as other cuts.

I don't hate melty Chocolate at all and still own it. I just like how the others I mentioned look and can be coorded. I think MC and other chocolate prints with gold accents though have the benefit of being able to be coorded in a mature fun way with the gold so I appreciate that a lot as well.

At another hand this print overall looks a bit outdated. I can ballpark it with Rose Toilette - not only it looked really pretty, it was really fresh, even surprising for its time. Now imo it looks just too simple as you went through the number of prints with a much more elaborate design, lots of tiny details and easter eggs all over.

I own 21 solids and 35 prints.

> Do you think solids are worth the price compared to prints?
Kind of. I actually didn't realize how many solids I owned compared to prints. I wear my printed pieces way more often - I think the main reason I haven't sold more of my solids is because they don't go for that much 2nd hand. I bought a lot of them straight from the brands, so it just seems more worth it in my mind to keep them even if I don't wear them that often than sell them for under $150 or even under $100. I've only sold the ones I decided I patently disliked or things that were ill fitting due to weirdly tentish measurements that I didn't pay attention to when purchasing.

4-5 solid vs 36 print, and of the solid ones one is a coat dress so I usually wear it over another piece. One is polka-dot so not sure whether that counts as solid. I think the split is so drastic because for my simpler pieces I prefer all-over floral prints rather than solids.

Tough. Maybe Elizabeth by BABY, nounours op by baby, drink me by AP. A lot of my favorite solids are by baby. Also apron sets are pretty much mostly solids.

about 1/5th of mine are solid and that's only because the print dresses I wanted have popped up more often

>> Do you think solids are worth the price compared to prints?
100%. They're still highly detailed, and gorgeous. I was worried solids were "boring" until I got a few and like....they still look like adorable sweet dresses print or no print.

>> What's your fav solid dresses
Gelato OP by ap(was a DD of mine weirdly), and Elizabeth OP by Baby. I generally love most of the AP solids that use the same patterns as their OTT print dresses with lots of details/lace/ruffles. I'm not into the super princessy-old school style solids though.

Absolutely, especially the more elaborate designs like Princess is Love. Gorgeous.

Sweet Waffle salopette, Candy Fairy skirt, Cutsew Parka OP among many others I wish to own someday... Nice way to say you have no idea about fabrics because cotton is not a fabric type but the material it's made of, so cotton can be a bunch of different things. Rose Toilette is also 100% cotton and it has a completely different texture than most AP releases. Same for Little Bear's Cafe. Cotton velveteen is a thing and it's relatively affordable, too, and most of AP's velveteen releases are in fact made of cotton velveteen (Ribbon Decoration JSK for example). The fabric in all the pics I've seen sure doesn't look like the cotton burberry AP uses.

I, too, wanna see sum caps. Sounds completely pointless if true. All they need to do is register for a UK VAT number, collect 20% on every sub-£135 UK order and pay it to HMRC periodically. Brexit is the fuckup everyone expected it to be, and certain rules did change at the last minute, but this isn’t actually that big an ask for whoever does the books. A few other countries have a similar system already and the EU will be implementing their own VAT-at-point-of-sale system soon. There is a big backlog regarding UK VAT registration but I was of the understanding that businesses could still account for the VAT as normal and then pay it to HMRC once the registration was complete. Maybe there’s issues with the customs paperwork, i.e. there’s no way to “prove” the VAT has been paid if they aren’t yet fully registered, and there’s a risk of customers getting a second charge at the border.

It’s a shame the Brexit cabinet only had four and a half years to sort this out.
