Razor is my favorite male character so far. He's a little bit autismo, but don't mind him. Barbara is my favorite out of all the girls and I'd love to cosplay her if money allows me. It helps when she's an interesting blend between a bard and a priest, everything about her aesthetic is perfect.

Paimon was my first choice but I know it’d get a lot more annoying comments in that cos so I’m planning Klee instead. Gulls please pray with me this fandom won’t become utter shit too quickly.

I disagree. Twitch isn't always the best way to determine successful game properties. Since the top games are MOBA, Star Craft, WoW, GTA5 RP, FotM battle royale, FotM shooter, FotM meme game. Usually co-op/competitive play. Easy for streamers to react to spontaneous interactions and be in the moment. Genshin Impact is mainly a single player game. Not condusive to getting reactions from viewers.

As far as success. It's a Huge asian market. Drew in a ton of new people that never played any gacha. Despite being a f2p gacha game; It is fleshed out like a AAA $60 game. Totally free to play. they made $50m within 3 days of launching. The audience is going to be around for years.

The designs are simple and appealing. Every one has a character they're drawn to. The potential for 2d/3d art and cosplay is off the charts. Even shitty digital art drawings of Diluc/Mona/Venti/Fish get thousands of views. I would not sleep on Genshin Impact fan art if I were a content creator in any capacity.

It's unlikely to be good unless what you ordered is a preorder. Most reputable Taobao shops for now are still in the preorder/prototype stage and ones that have photos of an actual costume up look rushed and low-quality. I think I might be gay for Zhongli. Want to cosplay him but no clue how. Fairly simple design but no experience.

Compared to everyone else in Genshin, he doesn't seem too bad. The sheer quantity of embroidery required would be terrifying, but as far as I can tell, there aren't too many parts compared to some others.

Now the two coats are what scare me due to funky color blending which I have NO idea how to do. The vest/waistcoat underneath seems to be the easier one, with just those raised designs and the scale pattern being awful. Lazy way out of slapping decal on outfit possible here. The tassles and hem seem easy enough, same with buttons although finding that shape could be hard. The color is fairly consistent throughout, just a medium brown.
But the overcoat... good lord, where do I even begin. The main color is dark brown with some black patches, sleeves that transition to a lighter brown with even lighter brown patterns sewn into them. The large cuffs seem like they've be very hard to shape right, and have both light bluish grey designs sewn in and the raised gold bits. The shoulders could just be foam pads, easy enough to shape, paint, score and stick on the suit. The whole clasp at the front just makes me want to die, it's an odd shape and would have to be made of something strong enough to actually hold the suit together, and maybe it connects to the coat underneath? Then there's even MORE embroidered/sewn designs on a part that would be awkward to shape, and a little pin. This piece would have to be almost entirely custom tailored.

I can't think of too many characters that I'd like to cosplay that would be easier, though... Maybe Bennet? Not Childe, he'd be about as rough as Zhongli.

Any character is "simple" if you consolidate the details down to a simple description like "brown coat". Childe is significantly easier than Zhongli and you should consider cosplaying him instead. You don't even have to make a separate shirt and jacket for child, you can simply sew the collar and hem parts to the jacket and make the whole thing just one piece.

I'm preparing for making Bennet's outfit. But I have trouble understanding his outfit. His backside if you play him looks like he is wearing suspenders, but the front absolutely doesn't. It looks a bit more like ribbons from the vest. Or is it suspenders which are not attached to the front? I'm honestly confused.

I agree with the other anon in that they look like suspenders that aren’t attached. When making them, I think you should make them like normal suspenders, attach them in the back normally, and then use snaps/magnets hidden under his collar to anchor the suspenders to your shoulders. That way the front can hang loose and look unattached but the suspenders are still secure.

I really don't recommend either outfit if you're a beginner AND want accuracy/good construction in your project. There are so many tight curves, 3D (non-fabric) parts, and intricate details that might as well be custom weaves. There are 2 adult male models: a shorter one used for Diluc and Kaeya and a taller one used for Zhongli and Childe.
