I just placed my first Wunderwelt order and I noticed that when I entered my (US) address and they showed me all my information for confirmation, it was displayed backwards. With the format "State City 1234 St. Address"
Is that normal? I wrote them a note with my address written the way it would be on a package just to be safe, but I'm wondering if that's a thing I'll always have to do.

Additionally, since they're not shipping to the US right now, does anyone know if you can make multiple orders and they'll combine them for you in one package once shipping is available again? Or will they all have to ship separately?

Or you can try Arda wigs, but you'd have to the buy the base wig and twintails separately, which would cost just as much.

Or... if you want to use an SS, there's Maple's zipangu wigs. You'd also have to buy the base wig and twintails separately.

Your average run of the mill non-specialty dry cleaners throw things in giant industrial machines that are rough on clothes. Am I right to be skeeved by this and refuse a sale? I replied saying I'm not comfortable with them purchasing and would prefer if they didn't however now I'm wondering if I was in the wrong for doing that... Can I get in trouble with LM mods over this or?

I have these pink plastic wing ones from taobao. The listing I bought from seems to only have gray available now but you can probably harvest search terms from it if you are interested https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=579582237849 as the design is available on multiple stores.

I find the design great for JSKs since the slanted upwards wing design keeps them from slipping. You can also hang things from the inner tabs.
However I wouldnt recommend them for anything such as jersey cutsew OPs or anything material that can stretch. As the odd shape of the hanger can leave weird indents into the shoulders of stretchy material

Sorry for a ramble about the hangers lmao. I hope it was insightful for anyone interested in this design.

Chinese Lolita Updates is run by like 3 different girls according to their FB.

I've always had good experiences with them, like notifying out of stock items right away, recommending better or cheaper sellers for the same item with better reviews, and just generally communicating super well. I can't speak for shipping, but I always use DHL when shipping for Japan or China for the speed and service unless the items are ridiculously heavy and it is generally $50 for big hauls (I am in the US) and $20-$30 for smaller amounts of things from either country.

I know DHL is supposedly expensive or charges weird crazy fees for some people in other countries though so maybe you'd want to choose another postage option but they are a pretty easy to use service since you can just FB message them your item links and details.

I was wondering how quickly stuff sells out during bloodbath releases on AP's US site?

I know in Japan stuff basically sells out the second you refresh, but I think it takes a bit for the USA site to show items are out of stock? I've only shopped twice before for the Ice Cream Parlor accessories and some blouses, but I've never watched the dresses to see if they instantly sell out. If anyone with previous experience with buying dresses on the US site can confirm that I may have at least a 20-30 second window to purchase, then that'd be great and I think should be fine.

I'm just really nervous since all of my dresses this far have been bought second-hand.

I've had this problem for a while now and just can't find a proper answer to this.

How do you care for pleather bags and shoes? What do you do when they brittle and how would you prevent this issue?
I have a pairt of old AP shoes which have never been worn before (they sat in a box for years and years it seems) and when I wore them the first time, they pleater started to brittle where the foot creases. And I have another pair not-so-old AP shoes, also only worn by me so far, which I'd like to protect from falling apart like that.

There's no way to stop it. What I've seen others say to do is to peel the bigger, flaking parts off, seal the rest of the cracking/starting to flake parts with nail polish, and then using angelus paint in a close enough color to hide the damage - I have not tried this method myself, so can't tell you how successful it is or isn't.

My comm don’t spend a lot of time talking about prints as it’s not something you can make a lot of a conversation of. The conversation topics are usually about hobbies that are common in the lolita community such as makeup, dolls, geeky stuff in general, maybe literature... When talking about lolita we talk about our last purchases, dream dresses, favorite brands, aesthetics we are aiming for, inspiration for our current outfits, where we bought the stuff we are wearing, great deals we made... Politics and mental health struggles are also a common topic but that may be exclusive of my comm.

Anyway, don’t worry too much, if you feel uncomfortable you can alway leave.

I find that all OPs are like that (not being to lift your arms more than 80-100 degrees). I personally am going to gather all of my OPs and get them altered to add fabric underneath the armpit. If an article of clothing doesn't allow you to have full mobility, it should be altered. Clothes should fit you, and not the other way around.

And I believe the alteration is called an underarm "gusset"? Search for "How to Modify Sleeves for Better Arm Mobility" and video of a woman and a blue shirt should show up.

Been looking at the same video, actually! Are low/deep armholes in OPs common or something? I normally wear JSKs so I never really take notice of stuff like these.

Thankfully this specific OP has a pocket whose liner is the the same pattern as the rest of the OP, hopefully there's enough to add in a gusset without making the alterations too obvious.

>> No.10465784

>>10465772
Yeah, it seems that's a common thing with OPs (which is part of the reason why people avoid OP). I have 5 and all of them I can't really lift my arms 90 degrees and whenever I find an unboxing video with someone trying on an OP, they'll mention they can't lift their arms.

If you're using the pocket lining, I believe that should be enough to make gussets.

nayrt but that anon is insane. unless you have a velveteen/flocked piece or an ancient print with a bleeding red or something (which ... sorry but that'll still happen in a closet, just to another dress) gently folding fabric is no worse, and in a lot of ways much better, than hanging, especially for dresses that tend to be heavy and have thin straps and elasticated bodices. don't use one of those vacuum-seal bags, obviously, though the risk there is more about mildew than wrinkles.

If you're really worried about it, wrap it in (white or neutral/undyed) tissue paper like our grandmas did with their wedding clothes, but a dress isn't going to be "permanently damaged" from having some wrinkles (which, again, also occur in a closet)

I've been out of the fashion for a while now, for at least 8 years, and I want to know when the fuck did the term "headbow" turn into KC? What even is a KC and why do people use it over headbow when headbow is self-explanatory.

I've never bought a Swimmer bracelet before - how do you wear it? Is it stretchy? I don't see any clasps on this image. Please help before this thread dies, gulls.

What's the best shopping service for Japanese sites that don't accept foreign credit cards?

>> No.10468885

Can anybody who's a US Women's size 8.5 (or close to it) tell me what size Japanese shoes you've been able to wear? Online conversion charts have given me answers that range from 24.5 to 27.0cm so not very helpful.

Depends on the site. If I'm only getting one item from one site, I go with ZenMarket cuz they only charge 300 per item. But any more than two items and it starts to add up and you'll want to find a service that charges by percent.

I'm a US 8 and wear JP L 24.5 but it's a bit tight, usually fits more like a 7.5. I have one pair of L shoes that fits more like an 8.5, though. So I expect you'd be an LL 25.

I'm a perfect size US 8.5 (basically every US shoe in this size fits me) and my foot measurement is 24.5 cm, but that always seems like a gamble because it's an exact measurement, so I order 25 cm. But I've not ordered many Japanese shoes. I have a pair of Meta boots and they are size LL and they fit great (a little extra room, but they would be too small otherwise). If you have wider feet, I'd order a larger size too.

Lolita-adjacent question. Where can I sell my BJD stuff these days? I've been out of the loop for awhile but I'm moving and I've got some higher-end things I'm looking to move at a reasonable price.

I was going to commission a bunny hood from Piratessan but it looks like her shop closed down.

How expensive is the DHL shipping option from Japonica? I looked at a shipping quote site for DHL international, and I usually get packages in the 5 lb - 10 lb range, and all the quotes I was getting from Japan to the US were over 150 dollars even with the item value set low to around 45 bucks (any lower and I'll seem really suspicious to customs with how much I order). I don't know if it's completely inaccurate or if it's really that expensive. I don't want to fuck myself by buying a ton of shit, telling Japonica I want to use DHL, then getting fucked by a 500 dollar shipping charge or something.
Otherwise, I'm guessing there's literally no way to get packages from Japan to the US right now, is there?
