I love old moitie’s basic stuff, but I’m skeptical about this. The lace looks too long on the black version and I guess I just don’t trust new moitie as far as materials and construction go. My older moitie pieces are impeccably tailored, this looks kind of baggy in the bodice.

>> No.10439201

it's around 80cm, so 93cm leaves a lot of extra room. Altering it to downsize this much could affect the whole cut. I know that because I've bought dresses with this same measurement before and I only managed to wear them as skirts or corsets that squeezed the bodice.

Jesus christ new fag. All you need to know is that they were whinging about moitie needing a designer despite this being one of the best neo-moitie releases in a long time. Probably dick riding the popular consensus of ruffle chat retards that anything plain = bad.

>> No.10439492

Not that anon and I agree with you on the rufflechat thing but I am not sure about this dress desu, I have the same issue with other anons about not fitting well in the bust area. >> No.10439504

BC’s taste is usually pretty good but I think think they are projecting their boredom and dissatisfaction with jfashion here. Sincerely doubt it’s a reflection on rufflechat considering they hardly pay attention to lolita anymore and mostly complain about newbs when they do

Does anyone know how tall the model is? I'm tempted to get the jsk but also concerned it might be slightly too big for me. Maybe I'll wait and see until people comment on the sizing, or do you think it'll sell out?

>> No.10439508

>>10439492
The fit problem are a valid complaint. It probably may have been better idea that they stick with the sizing that the cross jsk since larger people who exceed 95cm bust tend to not buy moitie in the first place as an anon from another thread had pointed out. I just had to up and leave ruffle chat because the level of new fag was had gotten unbearably apparent. Where do those bitches even come from? How the fuck do they even know what lolita is? It's baffling.

Does anyone know if they tend to restock later if they sellout at release? I have too many other financial obligations at this time to try and justify purchasing this at release. I haven't bought from neo MMM before so I don't know how they run.

As far as I know, Silent Moon was the only release they (Moitie owned by tanaqro) "re-stocked", but that was mainly due to a special release they were doing for a convention.

Sometimes they tend to find pieces in their deposit and put it up for sale again.

>> No.10439541

>>10439530
I don't think this will sell out too quickly. From what I have seen, they have restocked almost everything they have put out in regards to main pieces, so you should be good.

>>10439518
For the bad rep cgl has, this is the only place where you can have a proper discussion about lolita with people who at least have some idea at what they are talking about. I've learned a lot coming here and have so much cool pictures saved from dump threads. Gulls can be ok sometimes.

Is it safe to assume that there's going to be a bloodbath for the headdresses?

>> No.10439549

Now, for accessories I guess I'm much forgiving. I really like the looks of leather belts (those with three straps for example) and harnesses, as long as they do not emphasize specific body parts enough to make it erotic or fetishist.

I'm not a fan of collars or chokers when they look like dog collars. I feel like it gives an air of submissiveness to the one wearing it and it kinda clashes with the notion of the fashion, for me.

Now, shiny boots, shoes, bracelets etc. are good in fake leather or pvc.

I love leather, I wish it was more common. I feel gothic lolita is at its best when it mixes different textures and materials. I don't care if it's tacky or seems fetishy, I like how it looks and i'm not really bothered by how it's percived. I like most of the accesories too, especailly corsets and belts, but dislike thin chokers. I hated one that moitie put out recently. I don't really like harnesses too. There's a good chance the socks will be the logo embroidery ones, the other items will either be the vanity bags, the wallets, the yeehaw necklace, scrunchies and maybe the phone cases (the only accessory items on sale). When I was looking for the prices for the collage I've noticed the wallets (except the long ones) are out of stock so that's not good.

I got the accessory pack too for the choker and didn't have the highest hopes for anything else but seeing how the apparel bag wasn't even at the value they claimed it to be, the accessory pack is looking real scary right now. We might just get postcards, a keychain, and a plastic bag instead of the shitty sale items...

They realised they can sell garbage with a brand tag and moitiefags will still eat it up because it's moitie. Why use money on designers or quality when they can spend less money to earn the same amount of income?

>> No.10442396

The t-shirt is fine, way overpriced tho. But I'm tired of how you cannot absolutely critisize moitie at all or everyone will attack you. To not like something that is overpriced and lazy now translates i to being new, a larper, to have no taste. I feel like people who blindly love anything a brand dishes at them are brainwashed. It's okay to like the t-shirt, but its wierd to be so aggressive towards those who don't care for it. This one girl on instagram (well a few actually) completely lost their mind at the slightest crtiticism in the comment section and now their stories are just vagueposting and attacking others.

Moitie is going to have another online meeting in August and I have a question for those who took part on the last ones:

How fun was it?

Will you try it again?

Yeah, I see what you mean. At least their new sub-brand seems to be an attempt to do something different. They likely keep remaking the corset dress and pumping out those shirring blouses because they are the items that make them the most money. Their prints don't seem very popular, although that vampire print they have right now is amazingly gaudy and I kind of like. I feel like almost all gothic brands have this issue.

I'm ESL and so were most of the others too. Conversation flowed easily enough since there were so many of us. It was also structured with questions and topic starters and activity like a raffle in bingo form (which desu is why I joined in the first place, getting free stuff is always fun.)
It was more fun than I expected, but a lot of people were just on their phones the whole time and not speaking.
With virtual calls like these there's always a bit of awkward spots with silence, talking over others or not hearing someone well. But that just comes with the territory. I plan on participating in the second one!

Honestly I feel like mega-fans are just pissed off because there's a difference between not liking and being critical of something and just being an asshole on the internet. So many people in the damn rufflechat thread were either not lolitas or lolitas who knew nothing about the brand, and people complaining about the shirt were just being unnecessarily mean. Not everything a lolita brand puts out has to be lolita, and Moitie's far from the first brand to put out a tshirt OP. There's plenty of Moitie releases I haven't liked (the leather choker, some of the ugly ass hats they've put out lately, I can go on) but I just don't buy them because no one is making me. Flooding the instagram comments with rude, non-constructive insults is just embarrassing and uncalled for, and I think it's natural that fans of the brand feel defensive.

They almost always have a waist tie in the back, as well. One last thing I should point out though is that sometimes the sleeves can be a little short, so I wouldn't recommend most long sleeved blouses for taller or longer limbed people - though again, it depends on the blouse itself. Their Victorian blouse is a bit longer in the arms and wider in the shoulders vs. their other blouses, and I have a long sleeved cutsew that hits my knuckles.
