Intended on dressing as Kei Yuuki for Otafest. Had a premade costume and was looking for the accessories till the whole virus thing.
Restrictions on Alberta I don't even really know. Live in a smaller town that was hit hard, but after a month the confirmed cases is back down to half a dozen.
Virus really fucked up career plans. I'm happy I still have a job, and it's a place with a crew I really get along with, and have a lot of perks. But I need to move up for a better paying job.

I honestly don't think cons will be safe to attend until at least late 2021, at least in Ontario. Cons here are so packed and the venues aren't spacious, we get con flus passing around in a regular con season, it would be dumb to have any cons open anytime soon.

It was about 2 years ago at anime north, I followed her on insta and was pretty excited when I saw her group cosplay at the con. They were taking shots with a photog and I waited for a moment to ask to take a picture. The photog was fixing his camera so I asked if it was alright and the two said yeah no prob but she had a bothered face and said 'actually no cause we're in the middle of a shoot'. It was awkward cause the two were just posing and the photog said nah it's fine so I took a quick picture. They weren't even in a sectioned off spot or anything, just outside on the grass near the south side of the convention centre right by the road where everyone walks and chills out.

Thought I was being polite by asking and of course she can say no but if you don't want people disrupting you don't be in the most congested public area of the con.
