It's definitely a wip. There's still pins in the thing. Sequins are a bitch to sew and shapewear is labor intensive to get done right so I wouldn't call it low effort. However, I understand that the sentiment when sexy cosplay overshadows normal ones. I don't think that's the case here however.

Not the previous anon, but I've worked with Photoshop for five years or so, granted, that's mostly for collages, masking and repairing images, so this might be a little out of my expertise. Here are my two cents anyway:

The lightning would be a pain to recreate, especially since it's not only from one source but also a colored neon rim light, which either takes a ton of skill or a lot of effort to get right. Sure, you could, but if you did you would also have to get the skin color from another image and graft it onto the image, make sure the coloring is right, and the lighting and that is also a lot more effort. Lot of clean up to say the least. Also, notice how you can see where the suit flaps up a little, and creates a blue seeme along the edge, that would have to be accounted for too. And I very much doubt anyone would think about that.
It seems a lot easier to rip it up, take the picture, and in photoshop fix any tears that would be around the suit, or apply a filter like portraiture which would smooth out any wrinkels and skin imperfections. Do a bit of manual touch-up and color grading, and put it online.

Yeah I agree here. You can actually see the white inside of the costume if you look on the outline of the holes. So i think she cut it with scissors and then applied makeup or something to her body. Its probably why it looks kinda off but no real heavy body photoshop.
