GUIDE TO HOW TO HELP SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN HARASSED OR ASSAULTED IN COSPLAY:
This applies to victims and perpetrators of all genders.
1) The person had groped/punched/etc and ran away: Walk up to the cosplayer/person and ask "Not to intrude but did you know that person? :) It looks like they may have been bothering you."
If the person was someone they knew and were okay with touching them, you can go your own ways amicably. If they are upset and need help offer to get con security or call the police.
2) The person/cosplayer is actively being harassed/groped/assaulted:
If it passive try to ask them for a photo or start a conversation, if not use the prompt from situation one.
If it is aggressive directly ask the victim if they are okay/would like help/need security.
3) The catch all: if you do not feel comfortable getting involved but feel you may have someone be assaulted find the nearest con security and ask them if they can check on the cosplayer/person for you. If you are too worried to get involved it's an easy way to make sure that person get help!

The point of these signs is making it impossible for creepers to have plausible deniability about their behavior. They can longer defend themselves by claiming they didn't know that behavior wasn't okay if there are several signs stating it is not okay.
