The velvet is nice and sturdy and super soft, and the buttons are real abalone shell I think. Either that or iridescent shell-like glass! They are definitely not plastic. Most bodyline solids can be coorded oldschool if you know what you are doing imo. They are especially good for daily wear since you can throw them in washing machine without worrying about ruining older/delicate items. That's something I really appreciate as a lifestyler/daily lolita.

Was going through an issue of rococo and came across this baby, uh... coord? Anyway I found it amusing

Lauran, MistressM, and Sadako_Strikes were the mods of lolitasnap, and all photos uploaded had to be pre-approved by them. MistressM and Sadako_Strikes only wanted top tier coordinate photos, but Lauren kept approving ita noobs and tried to shoehorn in a bunch of mentorship concrit galleries instead of rejecting the itas. MistressM and Sadako_Strikes were not fans of the ita pictures, and decided to flounce and make their own uber elite invite only website called himitsunoniwa where only the best of the best could post photos. Lauran was not invited to join himitsunoniwa. Lauran ended up becoming the new admin of lolitasnap after MistressM and Sadako_Strikes left, and she deleted all of MistressM and Sadako_Strikes account information, photos and comments, basically erasing them from the website. It was pretty shocking drama at the time.
Eventually both websites shut down when everyone moved on to other places like Facebook.

MistressM and Lauran did end up making up shortly after their lolitasnap fight. They are still friends online, and it all kind of had a happy ending.

Himitsunoniwa died around the same time because Sadako_Strikes stopped paying the hosting on it and disappeared, nobody could get a hold of her to volunteer to take over the payments.

I can sympathize with that since my coworkers hate the fashion. I can't wait to be able to be a daily lolita. I try to wear once a week on the weekend but it's difficult when you're tired af, trying to catch up on chores and also trying to lounge with your SO.
