If you'd purge everything in your wardrobe that you haven't worn for 2 months or longer, how much would still be left?

>> No.10240853

>>10240848
Not much actually, I have a huge wardrobe but I can only wear lolita on weekends due to work. And when I do it's always the same old comfy pieces, so the OTT ones never get any wear.

>> No.10240867

>>10240848
Almost everything. I have a small, curated wardrobe that I wear fairly often and I have select pieces that also mesh with my normie wardrobe.

are they called "normitas"?

My clothes I wore when I was fat since I am planning to wear them for my imaginary angel in my belly. But pregnant lolitas are doable, ne?

>> No.10240885

>>10240878
There were pregnant Victorians, so I don't see way you can't be a pregnant Lolita... Just please adjust your wardrobe so it doesn't look like you're shoving your belly into pieces that don't fit right now. Like, this might be the time to explore tent-cut OPs.

is this how people explain pregnancy now? holy shit

I wear everything in my wardrobe at least once a month. I have 22 main pieces, and consider myself a daily lolita though.

i have 60-70 main pieces so even if I was a daily lolita, chances are i wouldn't get to every single piece in 2 months. i am able to wear otome/alamode to work so i end up wearing pieces of my lolita wardrobe several times per week which is nice, but not every day. plus there are a few that only really see con wear/occasion wear.

>> No.10241059

>>10241053
Doesn't even have to be 5 to hit that quota, just two. I don't get why someone would own over 100 main pieces when they can't even wear some of them in 2 months.

>> No.10241062

>>10240848
I guess if you're a poorfag or just a normie lurking our community, you would have a small wardrobe and everything will be left.
But people who are truly a lolita owns way more pieces, so I cannot wear every dress in only 2 months... some pieces will be lost

>> No.10241065

Id still have at least 80% i think. I have about 40 main pieces but a handful are a bit more weather specific (velvets, long sleeves). Honestly if you dont have seasonal wardrobes are you really a lolita? Thats like being expected to wear jeans year round

>> No.10241067

>>10241062
Lol do you feel attacked? Chill anon, there's no reason to screech poorfag or larper. Daily lolitas with big wardrobes that get their fair share of wear exist. But if you're at it, I'd go so far to say they are more "true lolita" than some collector who wears lolita twice a month.

>> No.10241076

>>10241059
A lot of that is seasonal. It's summer right now so I haven't touched anything wool or velvet in the last two months. And when it's winter all my lighter pieces are going to be neglected.

not much, because it's summer and I wear lolita most in the fall/winter/spring. i sweat a lot and for me lolita is a sensory nightmare in the heat.

>in b4 someone claims if you don't wear lolita 24/7 you're a phony

just because i'm not wearing my sweaters in the summer or bikinis in the winter doesn't mean they aren't cherished pieces of my wardrobe.

I dont understand this “its too hot for lolita” meme. I live in an incredibly humid area that often breaks 40C and still wear lolita all the time. Hoop skirts, light materials, cardigans and shawls instead of blouses over jsks, updos with natural hair, short or sheer socks. Either youre all autistic sensory nonsense or weak.

>> No.10241133

Cardigans? At 40C? When the air feels like soup, nobody wears cardigans.

>> No.10241142

>>10241128
It really depends on your area. If it’s always hot you probably cannot handle the cold. You get used to the heat and adapt. Places where it rarely gets that hot will find maybe 25 very hot, because they are not used to it at all, and if you are European then no ac. The areas where you get both extremes means you have to have a big range of clothes (even for normies) but it isn’t quite one way long enough to adjust. There is also dry vs humid heat.

I live in Upstate, NY. It's only really hot here for a month at most. I'm not used to heat, and I also personally just sweat very easily, so the combination of the both is very unpleasant in lolita. I hate the feeling of being sweaty in nice clothes. I can still sweat even in AC, which I don't have at home because for 9/12 months we don't need it.

If you're used to heat and humidity, then good for you.

Fun fact: if you're a woman on birth control, hormonal BC has been linked to a slight increase in body temperature.

Ok... Those are probably great at 70F or 80F. I have a hard time believing someone actually wears a bolero in 100F-degree swampy-asscrack fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk weather. A tank top or cutsew, sure. But this bolero thing at 40C is a bunch of grade-A baloney.

>> No.10241171

>>10241158
I personally find cutsews to look weird with classic and gothic coords (that includes non lolita brands like axes femme and fint). I'd rather go blouseless and carry a sheer shawl or bolero with me. Personally for myself, the top area is not an issue, it's the fucking bottom swampass from the petti. I have yet to find a hoopskirt that works with low poof dresses or skirts and doesn't look lumpy

>> No.10241174

>>10241158
do you think cutsews are somehow immune from getting sweaty.....i own cutsews. i still sweat in them.

>don't want to sweat in an expensive blouse?

>> No.10241200

So the dress police comes out and says no needs to have more than 'X' number of dresses. This then stops consumers from buying. In turn the retailers start closing up, manufactures go out of business and what stores remains will have to push their prices upwards as bulk discounted prices on supplies are lost as Lolita Fashion dies. Is that what we want? Because the Dress Police forgot there were: Seasons, Prints just for Holidays, Special Calendar Days like Valentine's, forgot about pregnancies, mood options and failed to realize prints and cuts for special events, date nights, meet up themes, con events and onward this realistic list goes. So the dress police forces their acceptable number on to the fashion consumers and runs the industry out of business. Interesting concept.

I would still have all my summer and spring clothes. I wouldn't have my winter clothes anymore.

>> No.10241212

I wear classic and gothic, so I can wear most of my skirts and blouses to work. I put a blouse in the laundry after wearing it once. But if you have a job that makes you very dirty, like at a farm or greenhouse, or you have to wear a uniform to work, I get it. In 2 months you only have like 16 days to wear your real clothes. That being said, having more than 100 main-pieces is the exception, not the rule. Unless you are that anon who counts jackets, cardigans and blouses as main-pieces. People sell and buy a lot though so that may make it seem like they have more than they really do. I try to sell just as much as I buy, I probably owned 200 main-pieces, just not at the same time.

>> No.10241214

Only few skirts would be left which I have worn with normie clothes. It's either been too hot or I've been too busy to wear proper coords (I have dress code at work and I have just moved etc).

>> No.10241232

Most of it would be gone, bar a few more casual pieces I've worn on weekends. Mandatory internship at a place with no lockers to change into uniform is hell.

>> No.10241243

Most of it would be gone because I live in a cold climate and we've just had our yearly two months of summer. I'm fine with temperatures well below 0 degrees Celsius, but anything over 25 and I'm figuratively dying in lolita. Can't wait for velveteen season to return.

I’d lose at least 50-60% of my wardrobe. I live in a northern Midwest state and there’s usually snow on the ground for 6 months out of the year, so I buy a lot of cool-weather pieces.
I don’t buy into the “too hot for lolita” meme, but you’re high if you think I’m going to wear long-sleeved OPs, faux fur accessories, and thick jackets/coats in the summer.
By the same logic, I’m not going to wear short-sleeved chiffon blouses and ankle socks in the middle of winter.

>> No.10242472

>>10242464

Adding onto what anon said, even normies put away part of the wardrobe during certain times of the year in a four season type of climate. Even a micro wardrobe should reflect that fact. It's absolutely ridiculous to think you should be wearing a coat in the middle of summer or ditch the coat entirely when you could literally die of exposure without warm clothing in winter.

>>10241157
same anon, I sweat like a waterfall in anything slightly warm. I think it's definitely a hormonal problem for me that needs to be checked out, but for now I only wear lolita on the "cooler' days of summer even though my forehead drips. It's very uncomfortable and ruins my self esteem :^c

>> No.10243508

Literally none. I haven't work lolita since Spring of 2018 because quarter life crisis.
