I never been so glad too have taken birth control since I was underage. I didn't had much pain but would loose an absurd amount of blood for one week during my period. The few time I had my periods in recent time it was much more painfull, after a few medical exam I discovered that I started to have slight endometriosis but the birth control I had is what they give to manage it so it never got terrible.

>please try to find a solution to your period problems early so it doesn't get worst with time

Thank you to lolita for helping me make friends in a new country. I didn't have any success at making friends for... a long time. But as soon as I joined the local comm, I immediately met people who were genuinely interested in talking to me and spending time with me and listening to my opinions and having fun together. Lolita is so special.

What you see as being outspoken others might see as nagging and what you see as women being the butt of the joke others might see as banter and camaraderie. Don't think that guys don't act like this towards eachother.
Why don't you share a few of the jokes and complaints.

>What you see as being outspoken others might see as nagging

Yeah, because to men, women being outspoken is a nag. They don't want to hear women's opinions, and they consider any criticism to be nagging, and it's easier to brush off that way, too.

>what you see as women being the butt of the joke others might see as banter and camaraderie

Really love it when men get to bond together over their mockery of women. The best kind of friendship.

Followup question. Are you people out to drive the two genders apart, are you trying to drive 4chan's userbase away by making browsing the various boards unpleasant, or are you just a solo struggler trying to make men hate real women because no amount of surgery will ever make you one?

>Are you people out to drive the two genders apart

There's already a divide among gender, but okay. Guess it's my fault.

>are you trying to drive 4chan's userbase away by making browsing the various boards unpleasant

If it keeps the crossboarders away, I'm cool with it.

>are you just a solo struggler trying to make men hate real women because no amount of surgery will ever make you one

What part of my post makes me seem trans? You think cis women don't get sick of men's shit? That's literally the post that started all of this.

It's also funny that in your first question, you wrote "you people," as if there is a group of us, and the last question, you act as if I'm a single person and no one else shares my opinion. Make up your mind.

I geniunely miss /cgl/ commission threads. I'd find some great seamstresses and prop makers on here. and since they all came from 4chan if someone tried to scam someone you can bitch anonymously with proof and they'd be blacklisted. The people I see in facebook cosplay commission groups are not on par with quality and value, really bums me out.
I trust a Seagull who I know is going to be anal about the little details more than some Facebook etsy quality chick.

>They don't want to hear women's opinions
I have known plenty of very smart, well educated women, including family members with degrees from Ivy League universities and holy goddamn shit are their opinions just fucking awful. Nothing taught me to discard the vast majority of what women have to say more than listening to them, especially in matters relating to the public sphere. Plus they want to whine about men taking all of the gloruly and recognition, while at the same time shamelessly manipulating men to do things for them

All these women here and only you are acting in such a hostile and prejudiced manner. So it's not a gender issue. It's you. And when people ask you why you feel this way, you respond with accusations and personal attacks. You don't even want to express grievances. You want to provoke. To derail and create bad blood. What purpose do your posts serve? To blow off steam? No, because then you'd go on about the stuff that has happened to you and how you were in the right. The only thing your posts do is make women look bad and cause a hostile atmosphere.
I know how you and your friends on other boards operate and going after you is my entertainment during shits and rides.

I didn't provoke or derail because I didn't start this conversation. An anon posted about her experience at work. A dude responded basically blowing her off. I responded to that. I also haven't made any personal attacks, unless you think "crossboarder" is a slur or something.

>you and your friends on other boards

I only post to /cgl/, but all right. Guess I'm responsible for the divide among gender and posting all across 4chan. I'm doing a lot with my night, apparently.

>going after you

So you admit you're actually the one attacking and being hostile. Cool cool.

got damn it y'all really ruined my mood. and speaking my mind isn't nagging, I'm new wtf do I have to nag about. it's literally just me answering his questions and him getting angry/annoyed if he doesn't like the answer. like him asking me about my boyfriend and stuff and me changing the topic.

as for the butt of the jokes, 'yeah i don't give free rides, if i see a hot chick i tell her to ride this haha. don't tell my wife'. and yet they don't make jokes about anything else.

even on this board y'all have a complex.

If you leave, be strong and honest about why you're leaving. Don't worry about how they'll react when you say you don't want to deal with their sexism for most of your life. They'll go in denial, defend themselves, say you'll experience these "normal" jokes everywhere, and try to blame something on you. Don't listen to them, you're leaving. But at least you'll have confronted them, and maybe one of them will look at his actions critically and treat future female colleagues with basic decency. That being said, I don't understand why you posted this to a cosplay board.

I know it's the norm and there's no point in complaining, but cosplay "community" and environment is really fucking sad and ass shit. It doesn't matter what country you're from, what area you're from, what kind of things you cosplay, sooner or later it boils down to the same thing.
>actual skills aren't valued anymore (sewing, crafting, wigmaking, etc)
>fitting into overshooped beauty standards matters more than your cosplay
>the more sex you sell, the more "professional cosplayer" you are
>always about popularity and clout
>elitism
>cliques
>everyone is everyone's rival
>high school petty tier drama
>don't even bother trying to talk to people with more followers than you. You DO have social media, right, anon?
>people not actually knowing jack shit about what they're cosplaying (not often, but this is a thing)
>nothing is about cos nor the play anymore
So basically a mixture of tacky reality TV shows and beauty pageants.

Am I the only one who ends up feeling extremely unmotivated and heartbroken? Everyone seems to just shrug their shoulders about this with a "it is how it is" motto.
Yes, you can go on about "cosplay for yourself, just have fun with friends uwu uwu" but let's be real, that's bullshit.

Not to mention people aren't friendly in the first place for many reasons above.

Fuck, gulls, sometimes this reality is too sad.

Consider yourself lucky then, you seem to be healthy. Usually bad cramps for days are a sign of something being wrong.
I used to be fine for me as well and I coulnd't understand why other girls were basically unable to do anything. Then I switched from birth control to an IUP and shit hit the fan. It got worse each time and in the end I couldn't walk properly. Turned out I had a very massive case of endometriosis and needed a big surgery. Things are better now and I'm back to no pain luckyly.
But yeah PMS can be really real and bad cases are usually a sign of something being wrong with your health.

Stop saying "y'all". It makes you sound like a yokel.
Nagging is a way of speaking, not a subject. Culture has glorified sex and has put control of the sex market at the hands of women, making men pursue it. Hence the courting, hence the increased interest in sex jokes, hence the displeasure with giving something for nothing or barking up the wrong tree.

>>10346154
>overshooped beauty standards
You certainly have a point, but not in this part. Being attractive is part of cosplay accuracy. Attractive characters sell, and most media want to sell. There aren't many characters to choose from if you're unattractive. If you're fat then you'll either cosplay Obelix, Ursula, or look like a parody.

>the more sex you sell, the more "professional cosplayer" you are
The more it pays in money and fame, the more "professional" you are. And what sells is sluttiness. "Easy access" sex. People will prefer a mediocre girl they can easily see naked or have sex with over a pretty girl who won't show an ankle and has her legs locked together tighter than Fort Nox. This is why people continue to support Momoiro-kun despite going to cons to see a sex cow and finding a landwhale.

There is a photographer in my community who will not shut up about having a photography degree. She's extremely uppity about it and seems to have something nasty to say about the other popular photographers in the area who are self-taught. Despite her degree, she consistently makes ameteur mistakes- things like not telling the cosplayer that they have a flyaway wig hair or a makeup smudge before shooting, and then not editing it out. Shooting at awkward/unflattering angles. Weird, cut-off limbs. Cropping off parts of props. Putting her huge logo over details of the cosplay and even over people's faces. Heavily editing her photos in a way that destroys clarity, and getting defensive and saying "well it's my style" if asked to re-edit them.
I have worked with her before so this comes slightly from a place of experience. But it also just irrationally annoys me whenever I see her plug her photography in every goddamn group in my convention circuit. It annoys me when I see her post her photos with the exact same mistakes that she's been refusing to correct for years. I feel like she's doing other cosplayers dirty.
Sorry if this comes off as a vendetta post, I needed to vent about it and can't do it anywhere else without getting assblasted by her orbiters.

>muh accuracy
okay, so an average "professional cosplayer" being conveniently cookie-cutter attractive is part of "accuracy", but what about slapping on a bikini and a sloppy wig that has nothing to do with the character? Or hell, let's be equal here, when a dudebro slaps on a party city wig and cheap aliexpress cosplay with no makeup on with his bulge that nobody wants to see sticking out, what about then?
Suddenly nobody cares about "accuracy" then.

What you're saying is mostly true, I'm not saying otherwise, and that's what makes things more sad and hopeless to me.
