A lot of overweight people are that way because of medical conditions or medications. And yeah they do face discrimination because people like you assume they're overweight because they just ~eat too much~

there's literally a ton of studies out there proving that medication like antidepressants make people gain a ton of weight. it's uncontrollable.

Someone in my comm was stirring up a shitstorm about me on cgl so I actively hunted down her wishlist for months and bought the top priority ones. I wore them to meet ups I knew she’d be at, and then I resold them privately so she would never be able to get her hands on them (from me anyway).

There are only few people who gain weight due to medication. And this is usually just staying thin in hard mode. Like, they have to consume even less to stay at a low weight. And just because it’s even harder for them that’s no excuse to just be fat.

>> No.10278535 [View]

Yeah okay, let's ignore all the medical science that proves otherwise and just believe your personal opinion.

They're in the minority. You need a proper study/census that tracks how many people are fat due to meds and how many are just fat, to prove your point.

>> No.10278541 [View]

>>10278535
Since you like science, maybe read up on studies for both then. Last time I checked studies said medications cause a higher calorie intake of about 300-500 calories.

Yeah, there you have it. Does the medication take control of your body and physically force you to eat those extra calories? Of course not, you do that all by yourself and therefore if you have proper self control you won't gain weight.
It might be more difficult if you're on medication but it's no excuse.

anon you're retarded, antidepressants don't "make" you gain weight. i've been on a ton and haven't gained a pound. what happens is people just feel better so they eat more.

antipsychotics can make people gain weight because they're literally fucking tranquilizers, but i doubt all fatties are also on antipsychotics. sounds like you got fat, grow some self control.

>> No.10278785 [View]

>>10278777
Anon there's no point in convincing people that brain chemistry will change people's behaviour. They will say "yeah it makes it more difficult but you just have to make a bigger effort". It's the same when you try to explain why someone comes to a meet late because they have ADHD, or doesn't socialise much at a meet because they have autism. They will just say it's no excuse and they should learn to deal with it.
