I can really relate to these.. I came from an upper middle class family, and as a child, was allowed to buy all expensive toys I wanted. Then family shit happened and my parents divorced, forcing both of them to start leading lower middle class lives. I wasn't exactly 'poor', per say, but I was extremely frazzled when I found out I could no longer buy the expensive things I wanted. My outlet was buying countless cheap things which usually ended up being more costly than just saving up to buy something expensive, which I still have a habit of doing. Ugh. Why do I have to be poor and have shit self control at the same time...
