i want to start my own accessories store/brand on etsy and i'm great at making jewelry but I really, really cannot sew for shit. I've been trying to sew for years, doing simple tutorials, trying and failing to sew doll's clothes and even taking whole classes but i'm still as shit as when i first learned how to use a sewing machine 8 years ago. literally the only thing i've sewn successfully is replacement waist ties. even trying to make a rectangle headdress ends in lacy hell. I know I could just stick to jewellery but it feels to limiting and i really want to at least be able to branch out into headdresses sometime. i just feel like i have no hope for becoming even a vaguely competent seamstress and it drives me nuts, i just can't figure any of this shit out.
