Nope, they don't specify "lolita." Just that they are "ita." If someone posts a non Lolita outfit to one people will start accusing the person of a vendetta. Ita is a Lolita related term, and it may be used on this board for other things by newfags who don't understand correct terminology but that doesn't make it applicable to non Lolita fashion. You wouldn't call a bad Gyaru or Mori outfit ita, you'd just call it a bad coord, just like you would with menhera. I can't believe I have to sit and explain this to newfags.

I can't remember exactly how I found the fashion, but I must have known about it before I was thirteen at least. I told my friend through MSN (rip) that I was planning on "going full Chii lolita ^-^" for my first day at my new middle school.
I probably found it the same way as most people ITT - I loved anime, was a Gaiafag, and was always jealous of my sister for all her '80s toys and room decor. I was also already interested in historical fashion, especially rococo stuff. I never really paid attention in history class because I was too busy flipping through the textbook to see the pictures.

I know this is bait, but seriously, every time this debate comes up I just sigh. Multiple times I've tried to explain the real reason behind the naming of the fashion, even linking to the Japanese Wikipedia page for Lolita, yet still nobody fucking listens. So here's the short version. Again. Because nobody can remember shit apparently.

Jesus Christ, I just had war flashbacks to Amber showing up to a meet with frizzy hair, a gross bodyline JSK (might have been an OP but it was a terrible shade of light blue) with pinks that just did not match and oh god it was terrible.
