just quarantine painted my lounge. Any ideas to prevent it feeling too dark? I quite like a dark room, its cosy. But I need something to "lift" it I guess? I got this light but I'm a little disappointed with it. I expected it to be white when switched on rather than colours, but it was pretty expensive and I dont hate it, just was really hype for it.

would it be really obnoxious and tacky to incorporate string lights?

also need a new sofa, this one is on its way out. Any ideas would be nice
