I cosplayed a while back (Zakuro Fujiwara from TMM, Teto Kasane, etc) but nowadays I only do OTT 2012-era sweet Lolita. I also like Uchuu-kei, Spank!, Mahou-kei, Fairy-kei, and gyaru.

I regularly attend CosDay, Dokomi, and FACTS Belgium (summer and winter). I really like merchandise that's not the same stuff at every con. I like to buy Japanese snacks and play the vidya on display! I like taking pictures with people wearing cute coords (even though I never like the way I look in them) and talk about anime with cosplayers from said anime.

I play D&D 5e sometimes, I draw sometimes, and I'm really into 80s-era everything. I like satirical sci-fi, vintage dystopian novels, and surrealist shit. I'm kinda into comics. Outside my J-fashion I like wearing weird clothes.

It's not really politically correct to call a MTF ugly so I think you're good. Try to make super liberal friends (college types) they'll be falling over themselves to tell you how pretty you are for #woke points. But in reality from a normal person's perspective? I don't think so no. Being pretty isn't the most important thing in life though if that makes you feel better.
