It's just transparent/lacey effects are kinda in right now, so all sorts of brands are flirting with synthetics as it's the easiest fabric that will do transparent and floaty the most easily.

Not just lolita/otome, a lot of normie brands are doing mesh or lace blouses/skirts, or chiffon things, or other sheer layered things.

The irony is I was so into this like three years ago because it was so new and interesting, and now I just want to go back to cotton stuff because I do actually like in a hot country and would like to not stink lol.
