So there's something I wanted to buy on Mercari that had been sitting there for weeks/months? It didn't have a proof picture and Japonica took the initiative to ask the seller for a proof picture before purchasing. The seller provided a proof picture and then increased the price by 20%. I am upset and don't feel I can buy it anymore out of principal.

I absolutely hate it when newbies are asking for advice on what pieces to get for their first coord and people recommend really non-versatile shit that's not gonna go with most coords. Like why say they should get the white heels with gold constellations all over, tassels on the bows and wings on the ankle strap over a regular pair of white lolita heals? One is clearly more restrictive than the other, even if it "fits the coord so well!". Unless you plan on making a large part of your wardrobe white and gold with constellation/angel themes there is no point in getting those, but when you're that new you don't even know what you're gonna want to wear in real life! Maybe you have trouble finding other dresses in that theme or gold looks shit on you or whatever and now you can't wear those shoes. Get pieces like that when you have an actual wardrobe, then you'll know if you'll actually get use out of them. Simple, versatile pieces in easy to coord colours don't have all those problems!

I'm convinced the only way high waisted cuts look good is if you're absolutely flat and waif-y (and tiny, since sack dresses and stuff tend to look really short). They're so universally unflattering I don't get why they keep releasing shit in this cut. Bring back normal waists already ffs
