I don't think they know what the things on Callie and Marie's heads are either, since it looks like she went with a rectangular piece of... feathers? for Callie instead of a colored leaf and the dogbowl on Marie's head isn't hollow when it should be. I suppose most people who actually play the game wouldn't notice these things either because too busy playing the game itself, but it kinda gives you the option to zoom in and creep on the girls (plus any other character in the overworld), which is like free reference outside of directly ripping the models.
