This happened to me a few years ago when I was like 18/19.

>was at some con in San Antonio (don't remember which one, don't even go to conventions anymore because I grew the fuck up)
>nothing going on, remember being bored as fuck
>all friends were at panels and other shit I had no interest in, so decided to chill outside at this cafe the hotel had
>place was semi close to the river if I remember right (shit it might have been Austin now that I think back on it, who knows)
>as I'm sitting there these stray kittens come up to me and start begging
>I'm aware you shouldn't feed strays and what have you, but I'm a sucker for animals so I indulged
>think I wound up giving them some of my food and pouring them some water
>well apparently I was being observed because before I knew it two of the fucking largest and butterfaced "neko" girls came out of some bushes and walked right up to me
>before I could even wtf, they immediately got on all fours, started purring and "Nyan"ing at me, obviously attempting to imitate the cats I had mistakenly fed
>mfw I didn't even say anything, just stood up and 180'd the fuck out of there
>spent the rest of the night in the hotel room because fuck dealing with that shit

It was around this time that I started to realize that cons were not for me.
