Not sure if you're still here, but Im pretty sure most lolitas would freak if they saw that someone bought a brand dress and cut it up into plushie clothing.

However, I do have an idea to throw your friends way. Has she thought about making purses out of plushes? If she's good with sewing, it probably wouldn't be difficult to make a few cute plushes (cats, unicorns, deer, etc) with a puch/sipper in the back and a nice, sturdy carrying strap- kind of like some of the animal purses that AP has made.

She could look up different dresses and try to make animals to match the themes/colors of the dresses. If they were of good quality, it could take off.
