my first cosplay was Ruby, and my god it was shitty. the belt was made of an instrument case strap so it didn't' stay in place very well, the neckhole was too large and floppy so I had to shoddily sew it smaller and add interfacing, and I also didn't use a proper jacket zipper so I had to put the damn thing on like a shirt. I also had no idea how to style wigs or do good cosplay makeup, so for some reason I thought red lipstick was a good idea.
