Was digging through some old files, and came to a realization: I don't think anyone's ever tried crossplaying Birdy from the anime of pic related, at least none that I can find searching for it that has photographic evidence. The newer anime's design is impractical for even literal women, but the original 80's design as shown here I think could work especially well.
>The area around the neck is covered, maybe with some tweaking so it rides higher would be optimal.
>Could have an exposed silicone breast plate, as the arm tops are covered, the neck is already covered, and if you get a longer one it extends beyond where the costume ends at the back.
>Skin color matched leggings could act as exposed leg skin like many women cosplaying do anyway, so hip padding wouldn't be an issue.
The rest of anything else would be just your standard cosplay considerations like wigs and custom costume parts.
