Normie here; update. I've got questions.

>1.)
How 1:1 does a cosplay have to be to be considered not shit?
For instance, there are some pieces that I already own, but are in the wrong color. Now, I'm comfortable spray painting some of the hard items that I have in order to make the color correspond to the actual character, but I can't really dye or paint some of the soft gear (i/e boots and certain straps).

The character's vest is basically an unobtainable item. Will I look like a big retard if I have to get someone to sew pouches onto a cheapy plate vest?

For anyone that cares, here's a progress of what I have so far. The biceps will come later, for sure.
