How the fuck do you find your shade in foundation?
I've bought probably five different foundations over the years thinking that they looked good, but they all turn out too yellow, or too dark etc etc
I'm really scared to ask the staff in makeup stores because of social anxiety (I'm working on it), and I feel like a complete idiot just putting 20 different foundations on my face in a store
Like, is there any tips or tricks atleast?

Only problem is, if I find a dress I like, how the fuck do I know what it's called? Like, how do I identify it? Is there some pokedex but for dresses that you gulls use?
I could just ask for the names, but I feel like I would just be extremely annoying, asking for the names of like 30 dresses

I have ehlers danlos (type 3), which presents as easy bruising, slow healing/clotting, joint dislocations and instability, frequent subluxations with the odd dislocation, and fatigue, along with a bunch of co-morbid conditions including but not limited to:
>postural hypotension
>depression
>anxiety
>raynauds
>gluten intolerance
>ibs
>heat intolerance
>etc etc etc

the joint instability is not so bad as to be totally unable to walk, but still causes pain. i have strong co-codamol painkillers and pop them once in the morning, occasionally in the middle of the day after 6 hours if needed, and once at night, along with another med to knock me out for 8 hours. when im on the floor, i carry around a little first aid kit with things like

>a bandage
>plasters
>spare meds
>painkillers
>salty and sweet snacks
>ginger
>walking stick
>glasses (if wearing contacts)
>butterfly stitches

and i make sure i sit down every time i can, even going so far as to lie in bed whilst friends are eating/drinking or at a panel i dont care about. oh, and i bring food i know is safe from cross contamination (usually gluten free instant noodles). know your limits and stick to them.

I'm passing out candy this year in my skeleton kigu with my friend who is 61(but super tiny, fit and cute.) She couldn't figure out which costume to wear so I'm letting her borrow my Miku. She got super excited over the wig and absolutely loves the outfit!

I'm so excited to see her wear it! Old people cosplaying is one of the cutest things in the world.

So a week ago I ordered a Paula's Choice sample set of the anti-aging ("Resist") line and holy shit this stuff is magical. I've only been using it for a few days and my samples are running out but I'm seeing improvements already.
I was too impatient/dumb to test any samples individually so I'm not sure what it is that my skin is responding to so well, but I think it's the 8% AHA daily exfoliant or the retinol serum. Is it normal for things like this to have such rapid effects? Do those effects last, or will my skin get used to it and go back to being kind of meh?

My skin feels so fabulous it's almost detrimental because it's so soft I keep wanting to touch it hmmmmm
