>What actually makes it "casual" lolita?
"casual" is a style or theme of clothes in Japan. if you look at KERA scans, you will find "casual" attached to many different types of fashion, or on its own. it is supposed to be comfortable, fun, and not fussy. for lolita, this often means no petti, or low poof, or salopettes brands release that do not go well with the lolita silhouette, etc. lolita elements will still be present, but in a relaxed way. further, "comfy" elements will be present, such as cutsew tops, simple non-wig hair, light makeup, etc.
