So I wanna hear you guys' oppinion on something that's been bothering me for a while.

Two weeks ago, I went to a three day LARP focused on fighting in line battles and war (not so much LARPing in the camps, but still some). It was set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe and my group went as a small unit of Ostlandic Halberdiers.

There were so many other awesome groups, people had awesome costumes, and it was all in all a great time. But there was one group. They were elves. Wood elves, to be specific. They consisted of fat dudes in shitty cheap clothes and one of the fucks had jeans on.
Am I the asshole for thinking: "Don't play a character you can't fit?" Like, elves are nimble, light, fast motherfuckers who snipe people from the trees. Most of these guys would have felled the forest, had they tried to climb a tree.

What is your opinion on playing a character, which you obviously don't "fit", if you get what I mean (not a native English speaker).
