/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I know this has probably been asked a lot, but what do people usually use to fill these kind of syringe accessories? Glycerin? Resin? Just baby oil or something?
I might be wrong but I have a slight memory of someone saying something about resing not workign with the plastic?

I wanna try my hand at making something like this, and I was just wondering if there are any stores/sites that sell craft supplies like glitter, charms and ribbon etc that's a bit more cutesy?
I'll google around some on my own of course, but I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations
