Trying to find a good pattern for a Tatsumaki dress. I found the following Tumblr that goes into calculating measurements, but their second post about putting the pieces together is now disappeared. I have enough sewing knowledge to know which piece goes where but I can't really see what the final product looks like and don't want to waste time drafting a pattern if it doesn't look right.

I've looked at some other cosplays and people vary between making it one continuous piece vs a separate bodice and skirt. I've also seen various fabrics from knit to satin. I feel like knit would be the most form-fitting but satin might be more...flashy?

Also, thought this tutorial for making the dress ends "float" was pretty neat.
