>why do you like old school? Do you like modern Lolita as well?
It was the fashion I "grew up" with, so to me, it's the definition of Lolita. It's what I fell in love with. I like looking at modern Lolita, but it's nothing I'm interested in wearing. Modern Lolita is very elaborate and over the top, and feels more like a costume. Old school seemed to place more importance on Lolita being a subculture than it does now. I also like that old school was more related to other subcultures, it was started by the hippy scene and then as it evolved, became tied in with the gothic scene. I wear Lolita outfits that are somewhere in between old school and modern.

>what's your favorite thing about old school? The attitude? The styling?
Everything! To name something specific, I like that old school had less pressure to look perfect. Looking flawless and perfectly matched wasn't as big of a deal. There was more freedom to experiment. It was more wearable and realistic. Imperfect outfits often had a striking look to them, I liked that sweet but poisonous concept.

>best thing about the dresses themselves?
The lace. Also, prints were simple. Applique and embroidery was more common. It was more Victorian and fairy-tale like than modern Lolita.

>what do you like the least about old school?
(besides the fact it's so misunderstood and sometimes called "ita") The only thing I can think of is that sometimes outfits would be a bit too weird or mismatched, or would be so ambiguous that wether or not it was Lolita was debatable (think Moon Kana's stuff). But I HATE to say that because that's the beauty of it, too. That freedom to color outside the lines a bit. That's the fun part of alternative fashions. Even the bad looking outfits were charming and cute in their own way.
