Not so much a costume thing, but I'll be cosplaying a masked character for halloween and I really want to try and replicate his voice as well as I can. Problem is that I'm a grill, and this character's voice is grovelly and deep and MAN.

I know I can use a voice changer to a point, but it can only get me so far before it sounds reaaaally unnatural. Anybody have any tips for making my voice sound more manly?

I'm planning on sewing on some stockings onto a pair of dancer tights. Would sewing a non-stretchy fabric work okay, and how would I go about it so it doesn't rip?
