quick question anons! So I recently moved into a new place which meant that I finally had a chance to get a fresh start with furniture! No more hand me down furniture that I couldn't move or paint. I would finally have cute matching furniture, I told myself.
Before I'd moved in I'd already decided on white furniture with dusty pink accents and a few gold pieces here and there, and I've started going in that direction. However, when I moved in it turns out there was one piece of furniture left- a big black set of dresser drawers. At first I was sure that I would either move it into the hallway or paint it white if I kept it, but once I got my desk in, looking at the row of furniture in my room (white desk, black dresser, black+white coord work-in-progress, white vanity) I started thinking, well hey, this black dresser actually doesn't look so bad among the rest of my white furniture. And then I started thinking that with a room so big, maybe I need a dark statement piece so that the room doesn't feel so empty. And the more and more I stare at it, the more I'm starting to really like the black and white furniture combination! Am I totally crazy for liking this? Can it work? What do you guys think?

Pic related is a collage to give you guys a feel for the distribution of color in the room.
