Given that you already have a collection of glass jars you want to use, my suggestion is to dive straight into seeing what fits into them, and whether they will work, like putting your buttons into jars or your pencils into measuring beakers, ribbons into narrow-necked beakers. You don't want to put tools you will actually use into some hard-to-get-out-of glass beaker, so move things around and make sure your arrangement works for actually living with and not just for a nice photo.

For the larger knick-knacks, look for larger glass cloches or jars to place over them.

You can download and print out antique apothecary labels to stick onto your glass jars to give them a "science ingredient" kind of feel. For the glass cloches, write down some info on hard card and fold them to make something that looks like a museum tag. Now your knick-knacks will look more like museum curiosities.

Clear out the wall shelves and arrange your glass cloches and jars on them to make a nice display. Once you get that set up, you'll pretty much have a sort of mini museum of curiosities going on. Then you just need to print out a few sciencey posters and add them around your room (like over that missing spot on the blinds) and you're more or less done. I don't really have any ideas for your keyboard, though, maybe just leave it there and only work with the two lower shelves.

There's a few extra things you can do, like if you can get ahold of old medical equipment, putting your cutting tools in a surgical tray (along with a leftover equipment maybe), a stethoscope on the wall and a poster of some human anatomy looks quite cute. You can repeat the apothecary theme on your vanity, put your makeup brushes into measuring jars and stick apothecary labels on everything. Depends on how far you want to take the theme, overhauling the two shelves alone should be enough to get your started with.
