I've cut it (pretty crappy honestly) but wore it out, nobody knew it was a wig, even my dad thought I dyed my hair. It's not shiny at all. I haven't tried Arda or anything so I couldn't tell you how it compares, but it worked really well for me. I hope this can maybe help someone out.
