It's because of the tumblr culture revolving around it. Tumblr girls are now growing up a little and are now around the 18+ age range and have funds to buy their own stuff. They probably still, in some way, romanticize the novel because they've never read the shit and just go off cherry picked screencap quotes to assume it's some forbidden romance novel without the context. To be fair, the writing is absolutely phenomenal and moving, so I can see why they'd be enamored by reading Humbert's deranged rants without context.
