Personally I don't use any fake fur- all the fur pattern is just sculpted into the mask (look at the ears). I tried doing full fur laying on a animal mask once and it ruined all the details of the sculpture. Plus it's way harder to keep clean for LARP. At this point I only do fur laying for animals and creatures with a tiny bit of fur, like spiders. The process of laying the fur down makes it look kinda gross which is perfect for them.
