First time on this board. Wasn't sure where to ask here or in /diy/.

I want to make an opaque visor thing. What I mean by that is it should be opaque and mate, non-reflective on the outside and see through on the inside, so I can see.

How can this be done? I was thinking of making it with a thermo-plastic and then applying some kind of vinyl, but every see through vinyl I find is reflective.

I know there are mate sunglasses, so it's physically possible to have surfaces that are opaque and mate on one side and transparent on the other, but I don't know if it can be done for cheap.
