/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Lately I have been feeling very left out of my cosplay friends circle.

Every one of them keep flaking on our multiple cosplay plans, either just completely ghosting me or making excuses like being out of money. And yet they have enough money and time to make costumes and attend photoshoots with other people.
I was going to do a couple costume with a friend and yesterday she told me she found someone else to cosplay these same characters with.
I don't get it. It keeps happening with different friends, most don't even know each other so it's not like they are conspiring against me.
Is it me? Dunno, I'm not ugly nor obnoxious and I have pretty decent make-up and crafting skills.
Or is it a common thing people do?
