I'm in the process of working on a wolf mask on a commission. Here's a WIP of the sculpt.
I've also done a more traditional werewolf.

I prefer doing sculpture and making a mould and doing cast rubber (latex, silicone, whatever). It'll always look better than paper mache or whatever other random shit you throw together.

When it comes to sculpture the biggest secret is proportion- you can't just throw a wolf head on a human face and expect it to line up right. The nose in particular looks stunted and squished when it's not done right. Think about proportion- take photos of your face from the front and in profile and draw a mask shape on top of it. Keep going until what you draw looks *right* on your face.
