>Since leaving college my friend groups slowly faded away and I haven't had many friends beyond roommates and a few others here and there

I've seen people waltz up to people and just start talking but that seems weird to do.
If this continues I'm just gonna end up spending too much at the dealers room and going home sad for the umpteenth time. How do people make friends so easily?

Now I do feel a bit silly for being so concerned about it.
I suppose one of the main things was that I've stopped wearing lolita fashion and since that was one of the major reasons we even started chatting I wasn't sure if you wanted to talk to a filthy non-lolita plebian lol.

Monday is going to be my first day of uni after basically being a shut-in NEET for the past 2 years.
I'm absolutely terrified.

It happened to me that I was, while at first welcomed and complimented with smile, being stared at, pointed at, and discussed about by the staff of the restaurant where I am regular. All after change in my appearance.
I smiled through the encounter, but it was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had. I stopped tipping the staff for the whole week.

My coworkers also noticed and commented on it, the mildly unpleasant being "oh my god, what happened", the one I have been most fine with being my boss just not bringing it up, and probably the one that I enjoyed happening few days later on the corridor (most likely due to getting comfortable to my new look), HR manager greeting me with a smile, and after a second recognizing me and saying "whoah, a new person" in positive voice.

You can say that her outfit is beautiful as always, or that you like her coord, but never make it long, and move on right away, especially if she doesn't say anything, or just says "thank you".
It's okay to continue topic, if she does it herself, by saying a little more about her coord, and generally seeming interested in discussion.

my school is on strike and may make the school year go into may. im panicking right now as I wanted to book this so long ago but it's still 5 weeks into the strike and I dont want to book something I'm not sure I'll be able to attend.
I wanted to go the first week of May but I'll have to push it back I suppose, but no students even know when the last day of fall + winter semester ends.
Am I screwed if I book shit in late Dec/early Jan/feb for may? That seems way too late but I can't even make commitments at the moment unless the school year is cancelled. I wanted to go for highschool graduation but it's already been two years since I had to save up and it would kill me to wait a third.

Any advice gulls?

A-Anybody know who Gerardo Flores is/what his reputation is? We talked a bit and proved he's done a lot of shoots for e-famus cosplayers so I thought he was an ok guy but after spending time on cgl and learning a bit about your predator list I dunno if I can trust anybody I meet now

Does Trader Joe's sell any San Pellegrino or seltzer or anything? I know that Eataly bullshit sells it but I am NOT stepping foot in that overcrowded maze of tourists. Tried it with my folks on new years eve and it sucked.

As a health precaution I'm probably gonna wear a bandanna around my neck so I can wear on my face and cough into it like a surgical mask when I'm in big areas like the AA and Dealer's Room. And of course sanitizer. I ALWAYS bring that shit to cons.

i'm excited to get to work but also i'm nervous about starting? when i make costumes for myself i'm never this nervous because if i have to cut corners or i mess up it's for me and i don't care, but i would feel awful if it's someone else's costume.

tfw no thigh gap.. I'm pretty slender from my waist up but I have pretty round thighs/calves. Been hitting the gym when I don't work tho. I'm 125 lbs and 5'7 feet tall so it's not like I'm a landwhale. I try to pick cosplays that wont make look like a tank just because my top is super hidden but my leg shape is exposed, if that makes sense. I'm ghostly pale too, and bruise easily so I have to constantly cover those ugly damage spots with concealer/foundation if I even want to wear shorts.
