I have a few stories
>few years ago
>be 17
>decide to wear lolita to prom (terrible idea in retrospect)
>sax old-school coord, very blonde hair
>dj points at me, yells into his mic "HEY ARE YOU SUPPOSED BE ALICE IN WONDERLAND"
>what
>entire senior class turns to look at me
also found out from my mom afterwards that one of the parent chaperones called me "the hello kitty girl" (i was not wearing any pink or cat ears)
more recently
>heading to a meetup in the next town over
>don't have a car at college
>very nice girl in my comm offered to pick me up
>we decide to meet at one of my college's buildings on the other side of town since it's halfway between her house and my dorm
>college is an urban campus, meaning i have to take the school bus and walk a few blocks (alone) to get to this building
>get off the bus
>start heading towards building
>get honked at
>someone yells something at me from a car and the passenger takes a photo
God I hate being out in lolita/jfash alone. I feel so powerful when my comm and I all walk down the street together. At the meetup the other people in the restaurant were so nice and complimented our clothes. I guess people are less of an asshole when there's a lot of you
