I understand that you're trying to ask for suggestions because you aren't certain what's acceptable and what isn't, but it's a glaring red-flag to everyone reading your multiple posts that you don't know what's acceptable for something as simple as a room party at a con. If you're very socially inexperienced or out of practice, it's best to go into these sorts of situations low-key. You know, show up a little late, hang back, talk to a few people and get a feel for what's going on... not ask everyone on the main thread several times what to do. The fact that I'm saying any of this is really not normal and indicates that you lack self-awareness at best or don't care about how other people view you at worst. I'm not trying to be malicious, just genuinely trying to point out to you that you're alienating yourself.
