you don't seem to know what shoehorn means yet.
a color is only shoehorned when the main is a multi-colored print, with many colors to coord with, but the lolita uses an additional color to coord that is unnecessary and does not work.
this coord is lav x black. there is zero issue with bringing in gold, especially since there's enough of it throughout all accessories to be balanced. her coord decision was conscious and it looks fine.
minus the headwear which looks etsy-tier handmade.
something like pic related would have been a better choice for headwear.
