It was awful anon. Like, CPS should have been called awful. Imagine four adults, three kids, multiple pets, dogs, cats, birds, fish, etc....

and all the household cleaning being shafted onto one person (my grandma) imagine two able bodied adults, two teenage boys, a young kid (me), and elderly great grandmother, and all the household cleaning was forced on one elderly women. The carpets were soaked with animal urine, piles of papers and stuff being kept for decades to the point that not one, but TWO sheds were needed. Our front window was boarded up because an indoor patio was built and they wanted to block out the view of all the junk in the patio. Every room was piled high with junk, junk, junk. Roaches in the kitchen who'd sneak into the bedrooms (found a roach right next to my head once while trying to sleep), over flowing cat box, walls clawed by cats, pissed on by dogs, it went on for YEARS. Eventually the only people left were myself, my parents, and my grandma. I was left because my parents convinced me they absolutely NEEDED my rent money and at the same time convinced me I couldn't live on my own.

I left after my grandma died and they tried to shift all the cleaning onto me(because one person should be cleaning up after two other adults, six cats, four unhousebroken dogs) . The house was in WORSE shape then when I was a kid. Laminate tile peeling up from dog urine seeping underneath, huge pile of cat feces behind the TV, every time I tried to help improve things, it got shot down. I counted 14 of those magazine organizers filled full with just copies of Better Homes and Garden, Everyday Rachel Ray, etc... from my mom's subscriptions.

This got long but it was just, awful.
