If you're dead-set on pulling it off, I'd recommend looking up Grindhouse cosplays as they have solid tips for getting your lower leg out of the way.
However even they state that it's more of a "photoshoot" outfit, one article saying that it wasn't comfortable for more than a half-hour. Just try it in your home - stand on one leg while browsing your phone or whatever. Sure you can easily do it for 30 seconds, but how about 5-10 minutes? Try getting from one side of your room to another, do you really want to do that in a crowded room? Do you think people will laugh it off if you bump into or fall onto them? How are you going to get up stairs? Even in the movie, the one-legged scene required a double as Cleese could not balance well for long. Like the other anon said, better to lead with the arm and just pose with your leg hidden for photos.
