Ouji and aristo can be very elegant, what's posted in the thread isn't the end all be all of of these styles; but an alternative that you can check out is Victorian inspired dandy, pic related. Just keep in mind that it's not jfash, it's certainly not casual (so OT to this thread), it can borderline on historical reenactment which is not what you want, and not every comm accepts this as part of the dress code for meets.
