It feels like all of the lolitas who are well known in the community tend to reach audiences on a lot of platforms; Lor, Batty, and Kate all have or had YouTube's as well as Instagrams. Added to that like >>10393148 said they all boosted each other's content with likes and comments and interaction, driving each of their individual followers to each other. Having a gimiky asthetic will probably help, but still following traditional guidelines for what is cute and keeping cohesion and consistently on your instagram timeline will help too. People prefer looking at and staying on the Instagram pages of people who have an aesthetic they stick too. Look at tsumikko(lavenders + pastels) fannyrosie (warm tones + soft lighting) hellobatty (purples and pinks + black) for a few examples of this. Based on my experience it seems that people also give photos more likes if its a full body with no camera visible, lighting that clearly highlights all of the coordinate elements and the BG colors at least somewhat go with the subject.
I think people also really enjoy ease of use, so making and using a platform that most lolitas are unfamiliar with or don't use won't help. For example if you make a personal blog make sure to crosspost to platforms your followers are more likely to look at everyday like Instagram.
Doing reviews is also a great way to get people looking at your content, I don't buy things without checking reviews first personally and I know I'm not the only one. Going to events and especially conventions with brand tea events, chatting up other lolitas at tea parties and other events, ask for their info or whatever.
Once you get bigger consider doing give aways or other types of content that requires you to interact with your followers directly is always good too.

Idk this all seems like pretty generic advice but there ya go.

I love my friends. You know who you are, you frilly fucks.
Also I love any nice anon who doesn't contribute to the salt. The world doesn't need any more lolitas who think that cgl is for meanies. I'm bored of playing this game of pretending that none of us go on here.

Aw, welcome, I don't know if we have met before but either way it's good to hear about more normal adults instead of awkward itas in the comm! I'm sure we'll have a great time together!

any other social anxiety lolitas here???? I live in a capital city where there are loads of lolitas and I know I wouldn't be scared if I had someone to wear it out with. But that involves going out alone and making a friend whilst wearing it.
why on earth did I spend so much money on a beautiful fashion if I am too scared to wear it out of the house alone? I wish there was a way of making lolita friends before I went to a meet, but all of the girls in my local comm seem like such a well established friendship group and I'm too anxious to message them (plus they seem older than me to the point where I feel like they'd probably be weirded out by some random girl messaging them). It's a catch 22 in which I never gain friends....

Looks soooo much better than her usual, cluttered, sweet attire.

Peachie suits classic so well; I really wish she'd experiment more with it.
